An international repatriation normally requires the following documents:
An international death certificate
A mortuary passport, for coffin transports
A cremation certificate, for urn transports
A certificate of no objection from the public health authority
Confirmation from the receiving cemetery or institution
Consular authorisations from the destination country

In principle an urn may be transported within Germany under certain conditions. International transports, however, are subject to the specific legal provisions of the destination country and the rules of the airline concerned.
In many cases an official registration, sealed packaging for the urn and complete documentation are required. To avoid delays or difficulties at the airport, we recommend having the transport arranged professionally.
